Sacred Alliance

Anima’s luminous and profoundly healing music touches the heart and soothes the soul, embracing the listener in a translucent experience of the Sacred. With angelic vocals, sacred chants, and ceremonial instruments infused within specially sculptured soundscapes and frequencies, Anima’s music is an offering of peace and tenderness to the earth.

Anima is a UK-based duo: producer/composer/instrumentalist Ali Calderwood and vocalist/songwriter Daniela Broder. For years they have explored music that balances spirituality, relaxation, music themes, and healing modalities. The music bears dreamy overtones, with cascading keyboards and airy synths as a focal point, light piano, and ambient effects. Acoustic beats make a nice counterpoint for the ethereal electronics, giving the music its breezy pace and structure, and Broder’s wordless vocals lend the tracks an angelic lightness.

With a dozen beautiful albums over the past two decades, Anima’s latest stands high above the rest as a complete, thoroughly satisfying work, overflowing with epic orchestral sonic tapestries.

Sacred Alliance juxtaposes images of a journey through mountains, forests, and sacred lands, carrying the energy of the connection that grows as we come into alignment with the Divine and the essence of our soul. Equally at home and nurturing in any season, the wintery aspects truly shine through the dark on several tracks. Ali and Daniela currently live in the Highlands of Scotland, in a remote off-thegrid location. Anima is now not only a music group but also encompasses a close-knit community of souls who have come together to work in service to the Great Mother, to honor the earth and live in alignment with the original and sacred ways. Listen and join with their generous artistic spirit.
