Common Ground is proud to showcase photographs from Briana Blasko’s collection. Briana is a San Francisco native who emigrated many years ago to live in New Delhi. Braving the intense heat, air pollution, and sheer din of daily life in the capital city, Briana has crafted a trademark photographic style whereby she captures India’s subtle spiritual undertow. Often outside the Hindu and Moslem majorities she soulfully earns the trust of her subjects. embedding herself into the fabric of earnest contemplative communities.
Unlike many successful photographers who skilfully push their way into opportunities, Briana takes pains not to encroach on the most intimate moments of aspirants’ lives, opting instead to come away with no images at all.
